About Restaurant Week

I don't look at these restaurants as just four walls or simple storefronts — I see each one as the realization of someone's hard-earned dream.
A life in hospitality
Hello — I'm Laura Levine-Pinedo. I've worked in restaurants and hospitality since I was fourteen, working my way up from hostess, server, and bartender to general manager. This industry is full of strong, resilient people who deserve to be celebrated.
Why the Northwest Bronx
I've fallen in love with the restaurants and businesses of the Northwest Bronx. If you haven't yet, I hope this week makes you fall in love with them, too.
The Northwest Bronx is home to an incredibly diverse range of dining: from longstanding neighborhood institutions to rooms that have earned serious citywide attention.
Whether you're a lifelong resident or a first-time visitor, there's something for everyone in our local culinary scene. I hope you'll use this week as the perfect excuse to get out, explore these gems, and taste the passion behind every dish.
KRVC & the merchants' alliances
As Executive Director of the Kingsbridge-Riverdale-Van Cortlandt Development Corporation (KRVC), it's been an honor to serve as your local economic-development partner. Our mission is to champion the small-business community across the Northwest Bronx, and I'm proud to represent such a resilient, creative group of entrepreneurs.
KRVC has helped form two merchants' alliances here in the Northwest Bronx:
- BAMBA
- Bailey Avenue and Broadway / West 238th Street Alliance
- WHAM
- Woodlawn Heights Alliance of Merchants
Many of the businesses you'll discover during the week are part of that fabric — and we're excited for you to experience them.
Come out hungry
Above all, come out and support our local economy: eat, drink, catch some music, and soak in the atmosphere. It's about the vibe — and we can't wait for you to feel the energy of Bites! of the North Bronx. I hope you came hungry — we're going to eat our way around the Northwest Bronx.
